What is an enchanted education? Does it require handmade aprons and a chicken coop? Or a chalkboard wall and twinkle lights? Can our kids experience an enchanted education in a less-than-enchanting environment? One with dishes in the sink, laundry on the couch, and a dog barking at the Amazon delivery during read aloud?

Julie Bogart tells us that all we need for an enchanted education is a special connection.

That special connection can be with Minecraft or LEGOs or stop-motion animation.

Or maybe playing restaurant or creating comics or re-arranging a bedroom.

It's all enchanting. It's all learning.

What's enchanting your kids lately?

Yep, homeschoolers LOVE books.

But what about audiobooks?

Research shows that ear reading is as real and as beneficial as eye reading. And listening to stories is a great way to connect your kids to the love of literature and great books. Plus, audiobooks can help them gain confidence to try eye reading on their own!

So repeat after me: Audiobooks are NOT cheating.
